Born on the 27th of November 1970. She acquired her primary education at Awori College.
Her higher education at Lagos State University where she studied Islamic Education in 1992.
Idiat also proceeded to acquire her master’s and doctorate degrees.

She emerged as the winner of the FCT Senatorial election under the Labor party with a total vote of about 202,175 votes to emerge the winner while Philip Aduda of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 100,544 votes.
Ipalibo Gogo Banigo
Ipanlibo is a woman attaining various victories. She’s a medical doctor and politician.
Born December 20th, 1952, Ipalibo is the Governor of Rivers State.
She bagged her school leaving certificate at Queens College, obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University College Hospital, Ibadan, and proceeded to attend Harvard University School of Public Health for her master’s degree. Between 1990 and 1992, Banigo received diplomas in both Tropical Hygiene and Dermatology from the University of London.
She ran alongside Ezenkwo Wike in the 2014 December Election and was elected as the deputy governor of River State.
In 2023, she contested for the senatorial seat and defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
