Chief daddy was an anticipated new year’s gift for many; released on Netflix on 1st January. The star-studded movie, however; didn’t meet the high anticipation of its viewers.
In this light, Mo Abudu and her team; took the action of restricting negative comments as they continued to flood social media pages.
Mo Abudu, filmmaker and founder of EbonyLife Media. Friday 14th January, acknowledged the disappointment expressed by critics over her newly produced comedy movie, Chief Daddy 2.
In a post via her Instagram page, Mo Abudu apologized for not meeting the expectations of viewers with the Chief Daddy 2 movie.
Mo Abudu stated all the feedback is taken in good fate and will be used as landmarks for future productions.
Her speech read:
‘‘As the CEO of the EbonyLife Group, I am aware of the mixed reactions to the release of Chief Daddy 2 on the 1st of January on Netflix.
While some people enjoyed the film, others did not, and so I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our Chief Daddy fans that felt some disappointment with the sequel.
‘‘Thank you so much for caring and for sharing your concerns so passionately.
Over the years, we have been the privileged recipients of your love and support of our productions – from Fifty, The Wedding Party, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, Your Excellency, The Governor, Castle and Castle, Oloture, and of course Chief Daddy 1 amongst others.
All these fantastic stories are on Netflix for your viewing pleasure. So, we hear you when you express your disappointment with us”.
She also added that insults, abuse, or any form of trolling aren’t accepted and urged all to heir their views respectively.
Mo Abudu Responds To Feedback For Chief Daddy 2 was indeed a great step for Mo and the team. We wish them good luck in future productions.
